Our canoe tripping program remains the heart and soul of Dog Paddling Adventures, and when the song of a loon echoes from a serene lake, you will see why. Our trips vary in length, but all will offer you and your pup the opportunity to enjoy a weekend of off leash exploration. All of our trips are fully outfitted with excellent gear and deliciously prepared meals to allow you and your pup a hassle free vacation of swimming, relaxation and bonding.

>All Dog Paddling Adventures include camping accommodation, delicious meals, all equipment, park permits, lifejackets and backpacks for both people and dogs, and services of a wilderness guide.

= Introductory canoe trip with no experience necessary. No portaging on these trips.

> = Beginners are welcome on this trip. These trips include short portages and a slightly longer paddle.

> = Some canoeing experience preferred. More advanced paddling distances, white water and portaging.

1 DAY PAWS & PADDLE at McCrae Lake
Day Paw & Paddle - $105 Per Person incl dog

Enjoy a special day with your dog on a beautiful lake with a small group of fellow dog lovers. Our day is geared towards having a ton of fun and learning how to paddle, while escaping the busy city for a day. Before the day's end you will have learned how to paddle a canoe with your pet in tow, enjoyed a beautiful shoreline picnic and explored the nooks and crannies that make a lake-side habitat so special. Closest town is Barrie (approx 1 hour and15 minute drive from GTA)

PADDLE THE TORONTO HARBOUR FRONT - 1 DAY ADVENTURE
1 Day Paw & Paddle -
$105 Per Person incl dog

This unique 1-day experience is for those looking to paddle our beautiful Toronto harbourfront with a great group of dog lovers and their pups. The beauty of this day is we enjoy our paddle through the 13 islands in a huge Voyageur canoe. This provides a unique paddling experience as we have many paddlers in one boat at the same time ...this way no one needs to know how to paddle! Our day will be spent paddling over to the islands, through the passage ways within the islands, to a beach and on to a great picnic spot where we break and let the dogs run around while we stop for a delicious lunch. Then we start our jouney back to the Harbour front. See pictures

KILLARNEY K9 5 Day SEPTEMBER EXPEDITION
5 Day Paw & Paddle $635.00 Per Person incl. dog Spend 5 days in one of Ontario's most beautiful provincial parks!  As the fall colours are coming out in full array, you and your canine companions will romp through the forest on portage and hikes, and glide across the waters (in a canoe of course!) of Killarney's pristine lakes.  Explore the broad rock faces of the Canadian Shield, paddle beneath granite cliffs, and spend a day hiking Silver Peak, the highest peak in the park. On a clear day, you can see the entire park all the way to Georgian Bay from the top of Silver Peak! 

 

 

 

In addition to breathtaking views, vivid fall colours,  and spectacular sunsets (and sunrises for the early starters!). Enjoy tastey meals seasoned to perfection, warm drinks by the fire, and special culinary treats! See pictures--->

ALGONQUIN PARK
4 Day Paw & Paddle

The Northwest corner of Ontario's largest and most storied Provincial Parks is where 4 days of fun, exploration, challenge and rejuvenation are about to occur as the setting for a perfect summer getaway. Accessing the park through a remote part of Algonquin Park, we will experience sandy beaches, beautiful sunsets, expansive lakes and narrow waterways, and of course plenty of doggone swimming!

 

 

There is even a waterfall for us to hike to and bathe under, all the while enjoying the companionship of our best friend off leash, exploring to his (or her) hearts content. Top it off with exciting and creative meals and you will have an experience that will last long after the song of the loon fades in the distance! Closest town is South River - (approx 3 1/2 hour drive from GTA).

HALIBURTON HIGHLANDS ADVENTURE - Womens' Retreat
3 Day Paw & Paddle - $375 Per Person incl dog

There is a wonderfully preserved pocket of wilderness nestled into the heart of Ontario's cottage country called the Leslie M. Frost Nature Reserve. Its proximity to Toronto makes it an ideal choice for an easy weekend getaway, and after a short portage or two you feel as though you have entered a different era. This hidden chain of lakes showcases perfectly small canoeing lakes, wonderful campsites and excellent swimming. Loons, not cars, are the sounds that will echo throughout the evening as you and your pup enjoy a wonderful campfire.

 

Our weekend will include lakeside morning yoga classes, hiking, a fantastic camping and cooking workshop and relaxing evenings of Outback Spa treatments, by the fire all in the company of our favorite canine companions.... All while we enjoy a glass of wine. Closest town is Minden (approx 2 hours and 15 minute drive from GTA)

MEET US WITH YOUR MUTT at Massassauga Provincial Park
3 Day Paw & Paddle

The beauty of the Massasauga Provincial Park is that it offers the adventurer two very different eco-systems within in one great weekend getaway. Here the smaller inland lakes of the Canadian shield meet the vast, rocky shoreline of Georgian Bay, giving paddlers the opportunity to experience the cool breeze off Ontario's 'sixth great lake' while also enjoying the intimacy of a Muskoka setting. Wonderful swimming, spacious campsites and awesome rock-cliffs make this the perfect weekend retreat for you and your furry friend. The three day adventurer will enjoy an wonderful exploration day to Georgian Bay and its neighbouring lakes. Closest town is Parry Sound (approx 3 hour drive from GTA).

This relaxing, introductory trip offers you the opportunity to enjoy a vacation without the need to portage your gear! The trip will cover narrow waterways, expansive lake vistas and beautiful campsites with great swimming opportunities. The three day adventure offers the Dog Paddler with a unique combination of hiking and paddling, as the surrounding area is covered with a network of hiking trails to explore and sniff to our dogs content!
